Spring has already had a couple of outbursts in our part of the world, and we couldn’t be happier to switch to a spring wardrobe of light layers, white shirts, blouses, smart shoes with bare ankles and jeans - and spring makeup. With warmer (but still moody) days in mind, we’ve rounded up a list of best spring lipstick colors according to our editorial team. From light, transparent pinks to corals and berry, this list has something for everyone. Check out our favorite spring lip colors:  

1. RMS Beauty Tinted Daily Lip Balm in Passion Lane

We love this hydrating, lip-softening balm, which leaves a hint of lip-bitten color and looks just so naturally plump on the lips. We chose Passion Lane, a light, pigmented shimmery pink for this spring, but we’re sure any of the lovely, candy colors will bring a hint of healthy blush to your face (you can use it on the apples of your cheeks as well).

2. Makeup by Mario Super Satin Lipstick in Uptown Girl

If you’re up to something bright, bold, and cheerful, we recommend Makeup by Mario’s Uptown Girl in rusty-orange red. It’s a very bright orange that we feel will look smashing both on a white shirt and jeans as well as on a little black dress.

3. Chanel Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle

Chanel’s Ultra Hydrating Lip Color in the iconic Mademoiselle shade has been a favorite of many (us included) who love rich, flesh-toned pigments. It’s a warm, medium-dark pink with a beautiful pearl finish that looks lovely on sun-kissed skin. 

4. Violette_Fr Bisou Balm in Sucette

Here at MYSA, we’re huge fans of all of Violette’s makeup, but this lipstick-meets-balm that mimics the bouche mordue (“Just bitten lips” in French) is as perfect spring lipstick as it gets. With a heavy heart, we opted for Sucette, a sensual, bright raspberry pink, but all the other colors look lovely, too.

5. MAC Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolor in Haute Pants

While one can argue that you cannot miss with any MAC texture or shade, we are in love with the whipped-like texture and durability of their Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolor. For this spring, we chose the impactful Haute Pants - a bold red with very cool undertones and a blurred, matte look.

6. Guerlain KissKiss Shine Bloom in Petal Blush

Guerlain’s KissKiss moisturizes and plumps the lips with hyaluronic acid, organic shea butter, and 95% naturally derived ingredients. This shade is a beautiful, shiny, soft pink that Guerlain describes as a “sumptuous strawberry.” 

7. Estée Lauder Pure Color Revitalizing Crystal Balm in Sun Crystal

This lip-plumping, hydrating lipstick gives off a succulent look of fresh, shimmery lips. For this spring, we chose the Sun Crystal shade—a glowing coral with a cool undertone. It’s just a hint of glowing color, a perfect match for daytime spring wear.

8. ILIA Balmy Hydrating Lip Balm in Wanderlust

These thick, balmy textures nourish the lips and come in a range of light spring lipstick colors. The understated brand has its fair share of no-makeup makeup followers, and thanks to its lip-quenching formula with Salicornia, Rosehip seed oil, and Shea butter, it’s easy to understand why. We chose Wanderlust - a cool berry shade, for a subtle, sensual flush.

9. Nyx Fat Oil Slick Kick in Link in My Bio 

For everyday use (and a little bit of glow), we love Nyx’s pigmented balms, which nourish the lips with avocado, cloudberry, and raspberry oils and give a nice flush of color. Link in my Bio shade—a warm nude is the perfect shade to wear to work or a quick run to the city.
