The beauty gadget revolution is well and truly underway, judging by the recent duty free based Travel Retail Awards and its winners. As the recent Financial Times piece highlighted, the demand in Asia is now so great that LUNA Mini 2 had been listed as number two on the Chinese shopping site Tmall’s wishlist, second only to iPhone 8.
During the week of the TFWA Asia Pacific Conference – the duty free & travel retail Asia Pacific summit – there was lots of excitement. Held in Singapore in May 2018, this annual convergence of the world’s biggest players in duty free converge yearly to show their new products and services. The convention showed the region’s strength and accentuated how this part of the globe is the driving force of worldwide duty free and travel retail.
The Travel Retail Awards held in Conrad Centennial Hotel on 7th of May awarded retailers that impressed consumers, and consumers only, the most. After six-week judging process involving blogger and vlogger assessments, followed by detailed analysis carried out by a unique database of international travelers, the final votes were in.
FOREO was in the finals in the Best Electronics Product category. For the first time in travel retail history, suppliers, airports and retailers discovered which airports and travel retail products are truly loved by travelling consumers from all over the world.
