With so many fantastic skincare products and new beauty brands emerging, our skincare routines can easily become over complicated. That’s why you need to think about – skinimalism.
If you’re anything like I used to be, the excitement of trying a new product is too much to resist and you end up with a large collection of products that look beautiful sitting on your bathroom shelf. I’ve now streamlined my skincare routine with a few simple changes. While some love the daily ritual of an extensive pamper session, for others, healthy skin doesn’t have to mean a time-consuming 10 step routine. Here are some tips for those looking to minimize skincare routine but maximize results.

Identify your skin goals
When looking for a new product start by assessing what it is you wish to achieve with your skincare routine. What are the key concerns you wish to address that will help you to feel confident in your own skin? Are you looking for brightness, smoother texture, oil control?
Once you have identified what you want then you can look at the ingredients that can help you get there and purchase accordingly. This can help you to narrow down which items deserve a place in your routine and which items are unnecessary.
For skinimalism choose quality over quantity
We can often find ourselves purchasing new products before our old products run out because we are not getting the results we want. So now that you’ve identified the ingredients you want, consider quality over quantity.
Instead of selecting 3 different products with that key ingredient, perhaps consider just one product with a high concentration of that ingredient. Then persevere with products and use them until finished. Remember! Most skincare items are not a quick fix (we wish!) and will take time to show effect. Give your skincare product a fair chance before adding them to a collection of rejected products.
Choose beauty tools that are built to last
While skincare products will eventually run out and need replacement, beauty tools can last you for years and years to come. For example, for $299 you’ll get LUNA 3, a revolutionary skin-tech device that can last up to 10 years. It is made from durable medical-grade silicone and T-sonic technology. Also, this sophisticated device removes up to 99.5% of dirt oil and bacteria from deep within the pores.
Prioritize 3 or 4 important products
Cleansers ensure you have a fresh base for the application of your other skincare products. They remove dirt and oils that can naturally accumulate on the skin. Moisturizer helps to protect and hydrate your skin as you face the environment during the day. Also, don’t forget about SPF. No matter what time of the year it is, we are always exposed to harmful UV rays so make sure to protect your skin every day with SPF. These 3 products make a fantastic starting point for any skincare routine. You can add other treatments from there that should they meet your skin’s needs and goals.
By identifying your skincare goals, investing in good quality products and beauty tools built to last as well as prioritizing the key products in your routine, you are well on your way towards crafting your very own effective yet minimalistic skincare regimen.
I agree totally! Quality should always be a higher priority than quantity. That is why I chose my Luna mini 3 to be a star product of my night routine.. We have to prioritize and choose the best products in order to achieve the best results!!
Hi there! Thanks for sharing! YES – we could not agree more! Happy to hear you are enjoying your LUNA™ Mini 3!
This skinimalism trend is such a relief. I always felt like these 12-step skincare routines were way to much. Especially when you do it morning and night. Does not make sense. I always stuck to minimum that works for me. My latest additions are actually beauty gadgets, and one of them is Luna. LOVE IT!
makes sense to invest into things that enhance the effect of your skincare products.
You’re not alone in feeling that way! While some people enjoy and benefit from elaborate skincare routines, the idea of a 12-step routine can be overwhelming for many.
Hi George, thank you for reaching out!
We do need to take care of our skin and every skin is different-so you can explore what is best for your type! :)
I have been using my Luna 3 for two years now and it works as it did on the first day. A very quality face brush!
A simple skincare routine is so much more sustainable and affordable in the long run. I also had trouble picking out which exact products were good for my skin when I had a more elaborate routine. Cutting it down to 4/5 products which I know work for me has been the best – I use the Luna mini 3 with the CeraVe oily skin cleanser, then I follow it up with a moisturizing serum, glycolic acid 10%, face cream and oil to seal it all in.
Hi there! Thanks for sharing :) WEe love your skincare routine! Your routine will definitely inspire more skincare lovers <3

Nowadays, we’re constantly bombarded with so many different beauty products that things can get overwhelming quickly. I love your approach to simplifying our skincare routine. That’s my philosophy as well and I love your exfoliation brush.
