I was wondering is the Luna 2 also able to connect to the app and the different things which you can do through the app compared to the Luna 3.
Hello Kostadina, please note that Luna 2 is not an app operable device.
So many downgrades from the Luna 2. ): Can’t change intensity manually without the app (who brings their phone into the shower??), vibrations shut off immediately after face cleanse (therefore can’t clean neck or decolletage), and can’t do the massage treatments manually without the app. It is also annoying to have to double click to turn on, and hold for 5 seconds to turn off the vibrations— would’ve been much more intuitive if we could just press the button once to turn on, once to turn off. I feel like most of these issues (except for the manual intensity buttons) could be easily corrected with a software update thru the app, but the Foreo team hasn’t made any changes despite the abysmal app reviews. It’s a shame because otherwise it would’ve been an amazing device.
Hello Alex, please note that Luna 2 is not an APP operable device. However, I can see you made an honest mistake and what you wanted to write is Luna 3. :)

Clearly, she described Luna 3. Her first sentence says there are so many downgrades from the Luna 2.

Of course, Luna 3 has the amazing Anti-Aging mode but you can choose between four different massage treatments while with Luna 2 you have one massage treatment programmed in the device.
If I have oily skin, which Luna 3 can I use? Does it really matter which device is used?

Hi Abby, we would definitely recommend Luna 3 since it new and you have more options because you can use it with the APP. Of course, we also recommend visiting a dermatologist for any medical concerns.

Hi Maka, You will have to register the LUNA 3 via the App but you can use the cleaning mode offline once registered. Regarding the Massage mode, this will have to perform via the App only.
Hi, I am deciding between the 2 vs 3. Is the app a requirement? In that if I purchase 3 do I need to have the app to have the 3 properly functioning? I can turn it in and off and utilize all the functions manually without the app correct?

Hi Dani and thank you for your post! The LUNA 3 will require the APP to initially sync and activate the device, to manage the timing and intensity settings and to operate the massage mode. Once all set you can use the cleansing mode in manual mode without the APP but the massage mode will require the App each time of use. I hope this helps :)

Hello Andreea, Thank you for your post! There are differences between then the LUNA 3 and the Luna Mini 3. However there is one thing that they do have in common and that is they both are APP smart devices where you can connect the device via the app to change the intensities, timings and in this case, the LUNA 3 can perform the massage mode treatments. The LUNA 3 is slightly larger in size and incorporates different touchpoints on the brush according to different skin types such as Normal, Combination and Sensitive Skin. The LUNA Mini 3 has ergonomic touchpoints and is best suited for normal/combination skin whilst is slightly smaller in size and does not incorporate the massage mode. Hi Jen and thank you for your post! Yes, the Luna 2 and Luna 3 both have the massage modes. The LUNA 2 is activated by the buttons on the device whist the LUNA 3 you can access them via the App which also shows you certain techniques to help you get more out of your LUNA 3….neat eh?
After researching Luna 2 and 3 it appears that most feel that having to have phone access to use for 3 is just plain inconvenient.

Bear in mind that the app is here to enable remarkable treatments and options. Our app and product developers carefully invented them for our customers to get the best out of LUNA™ 3 and maximize their skincare effects.
